Panzi Foundation DRC oversees the activities of Panzi Hospital and projects like V-DAY’s City of Joy, USAID’s Ushindi Project and our very own Wamu Project. The foundation is an important actor in the fight against gender based violence in Eastern Congo. Together we work to provide services to rape-survivors and women in the Panzi community of Bukavu.
Liberti Church
http://www.liberti.org/
Liberti is a Latin word for “freed people”. This church has supported our work since the very beginning when Scott, Brad and Melanie first traveled to Congo to film the documentary. Liberti acted as our 501(c)3 sponsor for several years and continues to partner with us in advocating for peace in Congo today.
Melanie Blanding Photography

Melanie has been with Scott since his birth, of course, and she’s been with us since our own birth – the filming of the documentary. She’s nothing short of amazing. Her amazing photo-journalism has played an important role in our mission to advocate on behalf of Congolese women. Melanie is currently free-lancing in Uganda and continues to support the work of Women in War Zones through her photography and sits on our Board of Directors.

Together, we form a united front, advocating on behalf of marginalized peoples on the beautiful African continent.
Gospel Tabernacle Baptist Church
http://www.gospeltab.net/
Gospel Tabernacle has supported our work in the field since the launch of the Wamu Project. Bishop Reginald Kennedy is an avid supporter of our mission of helping women achieve victory over abuse in conflict areas around the world. He engages his congregation and community of Baltimore in uniquely cool ways and we LOVE that he and his church have joined us in this movement.
Christ Chapel Mountaintop Church
http://ccmountaintop.org/
Christ Chapel Mountaintop views itself as a church of many nations. It was founded by Pastor Rob Seagears – the dad of Dominique's college roommate! We love family connections like that. Mountaintop supports several ministries both in its community and internationally and uses its annual Winter Wonderjam festival to help support our Wamu Project in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Invisible Children
http://www.invisiblechildren.com/
We're in awe of this young organization's work to end the LRA's reign of terror in Central Africa. We continue to support what they do, and have learned invaluable lessons from them and our friends there, in the development of our own grassroots movement to empower women in conflict zones around the world.
