Women in War Zones is a movement. We will not rest till women and children around the world know security and know a life apart from sexual violence, war, poverty and hopelessness. We know that the key to this INCREDIBLE goal is reaching out to YOU, instilling passion and outrage over senseless violence against defenseless victims and giving you a way to DO something about it.

Knowledge is the greatest weapon in this war. Rapists, Inept politicians, defunct judicial systems and attackers of the worst kind thrive in environments of disinterest, complacency and ignorance. YOU can do something about that.

Whatever the awesome way you choose to be a part of the movement....know that you make a difference - because you moved and joined an unstoppable ripple of change for women and children across the world.

STEP #2 \\ Spread the Word

Word of mouth is the best, most efficient tool at our disposal. We want young people the world over talking about the atrocities being committed against women in the name of war and getting rightfully fired up about it. How can you help spread the word?

TELL 5
Commit to telling 5 people about Women in War Zones, conflict-driven sexual violence and what we're doing about it. Learn more on our Tell 5 page.

HOST A PARTY
There's nothing better than a little bit of food and music to set the tone for you to introduce something YOU feel people need to know about. We can equip you to do this. You can access resources HERE.

STEP #3 \\ Start a WiWZ club

We're not kidding when we say college is the BEST time of YOUR life. Sleep in, eat a lot, live with friends, occasionally study...we know how it goes...but jokes aside, colleges are unique communities of people from all different backgrounds, in all different fields, and quite a bit of people just like YOU who feel strongly about injustice.

Start a club on campus and get your peers fired up and involved in the movement.

YOUR SCHOOL CLUB RECEIVES:
1. Automatic registration for the Tour
2. Targeted internship opportunities
3. Women in War Zones media and materials

STEP #4 \\ Fuel the Mission

We are nothing without your support. Whether you donate one book, one pencil or even just give us your moral support - we value it. A huge way you can join in our mission is helping us make the programs a reality through gifts in kind.
BOOK DRIVE
You can arrange a book drive to supply our library in the field with books and materials. Get your school, department, office, community and extended family involved! Contact marie@womeninwarzones.org to learn more and receive our list of priority materials.
COMPUTER DRIVE
We believe that literacy encompasses more than just reading and writing. Computer literacy is crucial to the holistic recovery of women who have been traumatized by sexual violence. Help us help these women through the gift of a computer. Contact info@womeninwarzones.org to find out more information on how you can do this.
BUCKETS OF CHANGE!

Every day thousands of pieces of change get thrown onto side-walks, lost forever in sofa cushions and tinkle down sink drains. We say... there's something better we can use all of those nickels and dimes for. Around the world, women are begging for change and are yearning for people who can bring that change to them, to surface.

Women in War Zones' Buckets of Change campaign ties these two things together - your extra pocket change and the women in desperate need of change. You can join us in this movement by committing to filling one of our WiWZ buckets and returning the contents or its equivalent to our Los Angeles address. While you're at it, send us a photo of you and your bucket so we can display you and your awesomeness on our site and in our office!
